LAW
Our practice includes
advising employers on personnel
matters, including the drafting
of employee manuals, personnel policies
and employment contracts. We advise
with respect to employee terminations
and how best to avoid liability.
We consult with respect to wage/hour
matters, disability issues, drug
testing, unemployment insurance
claims, performance evaluation issues,
disciplinary issues and severance
problems. We frequently prepare
and negotiate executive employment
contracts. We have experience in
preparing confidentiality and invention
agreements.
LITIGATION
Our trial attorneys
have earned a reputation for successful
representation in all types of litigation.
The range of litigated matters handled
by our firm’s attorneys have

litigation; mass tort defense; education
law; complex contractual disputes;
Surrogate Court issues; product
liability defense work; labor and
employment issues; commercial and
residential landlord/tenant matters;
land use, real estate, condominium

relations. We also have considerable
experience in successfully representing
employees require defense against
overreaching interpretations of
employment contracts, particularly

We have extensive
experience in complex litigation
matters on state, regional and national
levels. Our attorneys have been

litigation in state and federal
courts including discovery, motion
practice, all types of emergency
relief actions, including temporary
restraining orders, attachments,
preliminary injunctions, stays and
related proceedings, evidentiary
hearings and trials. A member of
Castro & Remer, at a prior firm,
served as regional coordinating
litigation defense counsel to a
Fortune 50 corporation in its repetitive
stress injury litigation. Another
attorney, as part of a litigation
team with a prior firm, represented
a client before the United States
Supreme Court, expanding the scope
of application of the double jeopardy
clause of the Fifth Amendment to
the U.S. Constitution. Our members
are also able to handle litigated
matters, with the assistance of
local lawyers, in courts throughout
the United States.
MATRIMONIAL
AND FAMILY LAW
The firm provides
full service representation in all
aspects of marital dissolution including
divorce and annulment; equitable
distribution; spousal and child
support; child custody and visitation;
family offense proceedings; and
drafting of separation agreements.
Post-judgment issues handled by
the firm include an appellate practice
in addition to enforcement, violation
and modification of judgments and/or
agreements. The firm’s matrimonial
attorneys are experienced in a wide
range of family court and matrimonial

marital dissolutions to complex

to, valuation and distribution of
professional degrees and practices,

for site plans, subdivisions, variances
and other permits. Our attorneys

& ESTATES
The firm provides

estate planning, probate and trust
administration. Our trust and estate
attorneys are experienced in all
types of estate planning and wealth
transfer techniques, including formulation
and preparation of wills and a variety
of trust arrangements, family limited
partnerships and family limited
liability companies. When representing
estates, in addition to assisting
clients with all aspects of probate
and trust administration, we focus
on post-mortem planning avenues
to minimize income and estate taxes.
Our attorneys develop
estate plans for individual clients
of considerable means, including
the structuring of their financial
affairs and preparation of all necessary
documents to effectuate those estate
plans. The firm's lawyers have extensive
business experience and, necessarily,
keeping focus on the tax implications
of any given of the estate planning
avenue. Our estate and tax planning
services include business succession
arrangements and intergenerational
wealth transfers.
